Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma received the 2023 African Export-Import Bank (AFREXIM Bank) Bridge Builders Award in Accra, Ghana, on Sunday, 18 June 2023.

The 30th Afreximbank Annual Meeting hosted the awards at Accra International Conference Centre, Ghana, under the theme “Delivering the Vision, Building Prosperity for Africans”.

These awards are established to recognise, honour and appreciate individuals such as Dr Dlamini Zuma, who have contributed in one way or another to bridging the gap between Africans and the African Diaspora.

Other awardees of the Bridge Builders Award include H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo – President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Mia Mottley – Prime Minister of Barbados, H.E. Prof. Benedict Oramah – President and Chairman of the Board of Directors, AFREXIMBANK, H.E. Wamkele Mene – Secretary-General, African Continental Free Trade Area, Dr. John B. Sampson – Member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s (SCCM) Africa Infrastructure Relief and Support (AIRS project), Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and H.E. Dr. Bamanga Tukur – Grand Patron and President Emeritus, African Business Roundtable.
