The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) under the stewardship of the Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities (DWYPD) will in partnership with the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC) launch the 2023 National Youth Month campaign on Thursday, 01 June 2023 at Uncle Toms Hall in Soweto.

This years’ Youth Month activities seek to present opportunities available to young people through showcasing and celebrating young change makers. The 2023 Youth Month will be celebrated under the theme: “Accelerating collaborations and opportunities to improve the lives of the youth.”


During the media launch, Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, and Sport, Arts and Culture, Deputy Minister Nocawe Mafu, as well as the National Youth Development Agency Executive Chairperson, Ms Asanda Luwaca will unveil this year’s calendar of activities for the
month of June.


Through government partnership with private sectors, and non-government organisations, this years’ Youth Month activities seek to present real time opportunities available to young people and engage in dialogue to address the challenges faced by youth.
